CAVA introduced the first flavour variation of the chips, Garlic Ranch Pita Chips, in 2024.

How to make it at home?

Ingredients

  • Pita bread
  • Olive oil
  • Salt 
  • Garlic powder 
  • Paprika 
  • Dried oregano or parsley

Instructions

  • First, turn on your oven and set the temperature to 375°F (190°C) before when you start baking. It will make your oven at the right temperature. 
  • Then, keep a baking sheet with parchment paper for placing food inside the oven.
  • Place the pita bread & cut it with a sharp knife or a pizza cutter into triangles or strips shapes.
  • If pita breads include small holes, you can split it into two thinner layers.
  • Take a bowl, add ingredients like olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and oregano. Then take pieces which are cut before and add in this bowl & mix well. It make pita crispy and spicy flavour.
  • Now, it’s time to bake. Take pita pieces & place the baking sheet like a single layer, and let them for 10-15 minutes.
  • After that, take out the tray and turn each pita piece to the other side. Then, put it into the oven again until the chips change their colour to golden brown.

Alternative Cooking Methods

Air Fryer Method:
First, you Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Then, carefully cook all pita chips for 5–7 minutes. Now, shake the basket halfway to confirm it’s cooked.

Stovetop Method:
Heat a pan without oil (dry pan) at a medium temperature. 
Add pita pieces and cook them. Turn them over often while cooking; it keeps chips from burning.
When they are crispy, they will cook completely.
