How to Make a Salted Chocolate Oat Cookie at Home?

  • All-purpose flour
  • Butter
  • Brown sugar & granulated sugar
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla extract
  • Baking soda or baking powder

  • Sea salt flakes

Instructions

  • Now, whisk together the oats, flour, and almond flour and add them to a large bowl.
  • Mix butter and sugar in a bowl of a stand mixer, which already has been attached to a paddle beater (used for mixing ingredients), and let them be completely smooth and fluffy.
  • Take one egg & beat it in the mixing bowl. Then, add vanilla extract and mix properly until it is fully smooth.
  • Add all dry ingredients little by little. Pour the dry ingredients, such as butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla, into the bowl.
  • Remember, mix at a low speed rather than high.
  • Now, mix the chocolate chips or chunks into the dough at a low speed to prevent the chocolate from breaking.
  • Make dough balls and place them on baking sheets with about 2 inches of space between all balls using an ice cream scoop or two tablespoons of dough per cookie.
  • Then sprinkle the salt of each cookie on the surface before baking for added flavor.
  • Let them take 13 minutes to bake, or the edges become lightly golden brown, but the centers appear slightly underbaked.
  • Now, in the end, give time to cool them for 5-7 minutes before taking cookies or transforming them into the bowl.
  • Enjoy it happily.
